The Dawgs hosted the out of town/out of conference New Dorp Lacrosse Team from Staten Island, NY. The game started off pretty solid with the New Dorp tying the game up 5 times during the first half. Both offenses moving the ball pretty well and the defenses showing both locked on coverage and zones. Like any new relationship, it took, the entire 1st half in order for both teams to figure one another out. The 3rd Quarter is where the excitement began, and the D-Block defense figured out the multiple defensive and offensive sets that New Dorp presented.
While the team pulled together, there were several standouts such as: Kobie Johnson (4 Goals, 3 Assists, 1 Ground Ball), Tyson Cardoso (2 Goals, 10 Ground Balls), Hashim Gafney (3 Goals, 3 Assists, 2 Ground Balls), Donovan Padilla (1 Goal, 1 Assist), and Freshman Standout Kai Cooper (2 Goals). One more game before the Dawgs go into training for the MPSSAA State Tournament.
